Why some stations have Play and others do not
URSY.FM is a radio directory first. Radio rights vary by broadcaster and territory. Direct client playback is enabled only when a current station-and-territory policy permits it. Otherwise, use the broadcaster’s official listening service. Third-party audio never passes through the URSY.FM handoff service.
Current GB listener policy
0 direct-play approved · 67 official-player fallback · 5133 directory-only. Counts describe station source records, including service variants.
Country is checked when you press Play
URSY uses the coarse country associated with the current network request to apply its playback policy. A directory country selection does not change that decision. Unknown territory and expired decisions do not grant direct playback.
Official listening options
Direct playback through URSY.FM may be unavailable in your current territory. An official player runs on the broadcaster’s service and remains subject to its own availability and terms.
Local sleep audio
14 scenes are synthesised on your device and use a separate local-audio method.
